David Sole

David Sole has been a militant activist since the 1960’s civil and human rights and anti-Vietnam war movements. He has continued his opposition to the many U.S. imperialist wars and supported the movements for women’s, LGBTQ+, disability rights. He is active in labor struggles and served 14 years as president of United Auto Workers Local 2334 in Detroit. He was a leader in the fight to stop the theft of Detroit City workers’ pensions during the phony bankruptcy of 2013. He continues to be active in Black Lives Matter protests. Sole is a Co-Founder of the Michigan Emergency Committee Against War & Injustice and the Moratorium Now Coalition.
